    @ifandbut01 @ThatEnglishGent @LoreReloaded @SpacedockHQ @MccabeAlasdair @EckhartsLadder No, but the FidoNet BBS's did. We also had Prodigy, and AOL. Some smaller ones as well. There has always been debate. Never has it been so bad. I remember there being a lot of hate for Voyager. Hate for DS9. The hate because, or over (neutrality sake) STD, imo is overwhelming!

    @OrangeFire_ @LetsGet2TheShow I think there was some issue with their conference call service. And two of them were on AOL, so they missed the email.

    @thegoodgodabove An investment as large as this in existing technology is an investment in old technology because innovations happen so fast. Remember AOL, lol. This may have been a bad move on his part. We'll see

    @jon_castleman Anything can happen...AOL was the biggest social site in the world once Myspace went south. Yahoo went down as Facebook was released. Facebook is now fading and Twitter is no different then any other social page.

    I remember right before AOL bit the dust, they tried to charge a $4.99 "maintenance charge" every month just for the privilege of logging on. Yes I'm AOL old lol. Baby they revoked that **** so fast due to the consumer backlash. There's a lesson there Ms. @Twitter.

    You ever randomly think of someone you used to know from the AOL chat rooms? Someone whose real name you probably never knew, but you talked to them regularly for weeks/months? Never knowing that one day, they'd exit the chat and that was the last time you'd ever speak to them?

    @ItsTheBrandi A few years ago I dusted off my old MySpace username and password - which I was apparently still using as recently as 2014 - and they didn't work. AOL deleted all my old accounts after I didn't sign in for a few years. I think a lot of social media sites purge after a while.

    @realSatbirSingh @elonmusk @Twitter Just don't get the hype about people losing their mind over Musk buying out twitter. Either I'm missing the whole hype behind Twitter or people are relying way too much over SM. I thought my addiction of msn chat & AOL messenger back in the day was bad..

    @girlsreallyrule i have seen forums come and go.. AOL chats, EZBoards, News message board services, forums, myspace, etc,etc.. @Twitter is nothing but another limited platform i can bury today and never look back
