@hueningkaimeow Even back in the day like,,, way back, when I was a lil kid on AOL 😭 I was like 10.... and I wish my parents never let me on the internet that young but nobody knew back then lol, and we know now (the dangers) but still it feels like nothing has changed... a scary place for kids

when I was in 5th grade I crashed my elementary school's network with a virus. when I was 13 I got caught running a phishing operation on AOL with a library of thousands of credit cards and account logins. Never did anything nefarious tho, just for fun.

@StillCrankyAF I keep forgetting how pervasive AOL and Yahoo were. Weird too that I almost never went to either. Infoseek was 10 times better a search engine. AOL was where people who called Dial up ISP support constantly hung out
