@Noraistired @limbsylum Man I wish but (1) Chicago 4 Lyfe and (2) my Spanish unfortunately kinda sucks. 🙁 Oh also I have my firm and stuff. BUT I’m down to help any way I can (e.g. all my Amazon Smile $ goes to AOL)

@davidbix Ol' Rob doesn't remember RSPW or, hell, AOL's message boards? There used to be call in phone lines were people would listen to other people ***** about ****. Has he not heard of the legendary Cody Boyns?

@AOLSupportHelp Hello, I’m having a hard time accessing my account for the last few days because for some reason my iPad and iPhone no longer recognize my password (and it happened on different days as well) and unable to change my password as well. Can someone help me on this?

  • mcuban Mark Cuban (@mcuban) reported

@AriDavidPaul AOL was a closed network. By definition you had to pay to join, that makes a network effect very difficult. They were just big. Netscape is a better example. They got beat, but their network effect helped move the Internet towards ubiquity

@DLoweryAU @somewherein84 When I had to replace my fridge I had an alcove it had to fit into - & I wanted the largest fridge that would fit in this space. Phoned customer service at AOL, gave them the dimensions & they gave me a selection of fridges to choose from. Fantastic service!

@carolynmichelle @Lake_The_Game Broken reality leans really hard into the brokenness, as implied by the title. You explore the decaying remains of a 90s virtual chatroom rendered as a "primitive" 3d space. It has an unutterable sadness for the loss of sth that'll be instantly familiar to ICQ/AOL IM/MSN/etc kids

  • TomKenniston Dr. Farts, Sex Dwarf (@TomKenniston) reported

Bummed my AOL kayaking site shut down. Good 25 years guys.

@TMobileHelp are there any outages or slowdowns in the VA/DC area lately? Last couple weeks everything has been slow, everywhere. Full bars and loading a webpage feels like AOL dialup circa 1996. Lots of latency and lags. It’s like service took a nosedive.

@marypcbuk @threddyrex So I hacked together a software router on an old PC running Windows that would share the AOL client's connection with all the other machines on our home network (at the time all in one room and wired), and nailed up the AOL client with another app that kept it online.
