@tvrasche Omg me too! I sobbed! I never thought he'd be back. I mean seriously look at my Twitter handle. And yes my avatar is the 2nd Red 2, Zev Senesca only because all the Wedge stuff was already taken back in the aol/hotmail days when I created most of my gaming avatars.

AOL Had Instant Messanger and EVERYONE was on it, Non Stop, Addicted, NEEDED IT. And AOL kept thinking about monetizing it or making you pay for it, but never could because they knew what would happen. Eventually it happens anyway with online stuff.

So it looks like @AOL is trying to get more rvenue by denying a service that is critical to many non-paying accounts. I get the attempt to generate revenue, but this may be the death knell for AOL. After the way they have treated me, good riddance.

@still_pig NEVER FORGET! that "Social" media has never been anything more than gussied up versions of the old AOL Hub chatrooms that Mark, and Jack, and Elon, and The Chinese Communist Party realized they could make some serious capitalistic what the market will bear cash off of.

@IanDunt I said all the above about AOL. And AOL still closed down its message boards. And 20 years later here I am. It's nonsense that things are irreplaceable.
