@joshdholtz Ohhh having someone just filter things by importance could be a good solution. I wouldn’t wish my AOL users on you though, you’re far too kind to have to deal with those support questions (there are some real doozies!)

  • GADnyc Gerard DeBenedetto (@GADnyc) reported

@fifilamoura @MonkeyPretzel @jfruh There were plenty of horrible people, predators in IRC, AOL, Yahoo groups. It spawned the TV show to catch a predator right?

  • EalaiNft AI2NFT_Ealain (@EalaiNft) reported

@be747 AOL chat rooms are the worst. No thanks. Those things are unreliable and full of terrors. Chatrooms are for professionals only. You're lucky if you get in touch with humans. The people there are amazing. Just say 'Hi' and they'll be happy to answer your questions.

@ElliottsLament @finnydnb @90sWWE AOL had it's own software but it still connected to the internet. when you minimized the AOL app you could just open a browser and surf the regular internet with a horrendously slow speed because the AOL software was rather demanding.
