AOL Issues Reports Near Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Chelmsford and nearby locations:

  • Robert_Mills Robert Mills (@Robert_Mills) reported from Dracut, Massachusetts

@megansarahj I had AOL right at the end, but luckily I got out before the damage could move at speeds beyond that of my 14.4K dial-up modem that hogged our only phone line.

  • sinz54 sinz54 (@sinz54) reported from Lowell, Massachusetts

@liturgicalgay 4 points. Never had AOL or MySpace accounts, never used dialup to access the Internet, and I never owned an encyclopedia. (I used dialup, but to access the older Usenet, not Internet. My parents owned the encyclopedia, not I.)

  • patchallel Tom O'Leary (@patchallel) reported

@AnandWrites I’ve had a few “great job-bad company” scenarios in my life. In the 70’s I worked in the defense industry while a dove (still feel bad about that) and at the turn of the millennium I worked for AOL. I got through it.

  • FrankAmico1 Frank Amico (@FrankAmico1) reported

@AOL It's scary to imagine how much more damage he can do before he leaves office.

  • Ik0Nihcas Ik Nihcas (@Ik0Nihcas) reported

@uTobian Back then we only had Yahoo, Hotmail & AOL emails. They were a little slow compared to Gmail. So many people jumped to Gmail

  • SQLTrooper Allen McGuire (@SQLTrooper) reported

@greta What is incredibly ironic is that users are what make up a social network. Absent the users, they've got a bunch of useless code. Remember MySpace? AOL: You've Got Mail? Netscape Navigator? Hotmail? Lycos? I grew up at the perfect time to see them all come and go. It can happen.

  • UberVoop When darkness reigns heroes rise (@UberVoop) reported

@SaltyCracker9 Dude for a while now I've noticed them cutting or dragging your chat feeds down when things got too spicy for the progressive babies secretly modding the chat. The same kinda **** that destroyed AOL chats and the site as a result.

  • ronlherault Ronald L'Herault (@ronlherault) reported

AOL web page comes up hash on my computer. Can't read mail, can't view the web page, no help can be found.

  • uraqt413 pretty boy ❀ (@uraqt413) reported

I remember reading my sister’s chat w her forbidden bf on AOL pls I WANT THAT SO BAD

  • jameslally21 jameslally2 (@jameslally21) reported

@BuckBond4 @smsoaresrose It’s very wonky reminds me of AOL around 98 the other issue is you can’t message anybody on it without previous verification!

  • hitahomerun30 Bird Watcher (@hitahomerun30) reported

@2cool4breeze sorta like those old aol internet free trial cds ? Don't even think aol exists anymore or at least their dial up service I'm sure isn't a thing I'd assume lol

  • katierandall Katie Randall (@katierandall) reported

But of course the worst part is the affront of seeing AOL-addressed emails every day when I, like a good Millennial, have not known the password to any AOL account since 2005
