@liturgicalgay 4 points. Never had AOL or MySpace accounts, never used dialup to access the Internet, and I never owned an encyclopedia. (I used dialup, but to access the older Usenet, not Internet. My parents owned the encyclopedia, not I.)

  • Robert_Mills Robert Mills (@Robert_Mills) reported from Dracut, Massachusetts

@megansarahj I had AOL right at the end, but luckily I got out before the damage could move at speeds beyond that of my 14.4K dial-up modem that hogged our only phone line.

Have you ever tried to unsubscribe from Hulu? It’s not quite as bad as AOL was, but they sure don’t make it easy. (LOL @ all the people too young to remember AOL. They have no idea how fortunate they are!)

  • chubbco Cotty Chubb (@chubbco) reported

@TedHope As a wise friend told me long ago, even before AOL most likely, email’s great for staying on top of things, but it sucks at getting to the bottom of them. Still true.

  • mrussinovich1 Maria No Longer Owes The Government Money (@mrussinovich1) reported

@ArielleDundas Phones/technology (think AOL) make it so kids don’t have to physically go to their friends’ houses anymore to communicate that they want to hang out. It’s just a text away, or XBox chat, or Switch invite… I think that it’s different but it shouldn’t be ignored
