@GeoRebekah This happened to me about 20 years ago, except the police were no help. She was a deranged older lady who kept trying to send me viruses, downed me, and tried to get me fired from my teaching post, plus went after a friend's mother & tried to get her fired. Luckily, aol ended her

After that you also had to use your modem to connect to the internet by dialing using your phone service. Its AOL online/dial up if you’ve heard of that
