@hilzoy Brought up (bad) memories of trying to cancel AOL back in the day when ISPs began to compete. Easy to sign up on-line but had to cancel by phone. Sigh.

@mliebow @WholeMarsBlog @elonmusk Starlink is the best alternative to users of dial-up. They are using AOL for dial-up internet, not for the service. The internet is a protocol will never go away but AOL is a service and easily replaceable just like Facebook will be.
