@agikun @JenosonTwit Some of those folks are so weird. Like, I will admit to liking some weird *** ****, but I really don't want minors interacting with me over my choice in erotica... Like, jfc, I was exposed to ****** when AOL was the #1 provider of internet when I was >10 of age...

@shillman1 We are one of the original online couples. “Met” in an AOL online chat room called Windy City Chat. Met in person at a horrible outdoor production of Pippen in a park near Chicago. 25+ years married.

@Politrips1 @thehill Bitcoin will probably hang around and be a thing (like AOL has too) but it’s never going to be the world altering new currency that some folks truly believe it will be. And in my opinion it’s never going “to the moon” without crashing back down to earth hard

@kittycatbytes @ChiefIgnant @brevinsteedro I started hacking on AOL 4. I'm old enough to remember when dail-up disconnected when my mother picked up the phone. I'm old enough to remember pirating sites before the pirating was an issue. Where you even alive in 93?

Anybody else remember installing sound and cursor packs on windows 95 and thinking it was the hottest **** ever? For the younguns: Win95 was an ancient digital spell used to summon the screeching horrors of dialup AOL access and also you could play Command and Conquer and DOOM.

@CityVolatility @MillionaireBiz1 @lytmup68 Yup. AOL message board, usenet, CompuServe etc were all full of messages of people who talked up the big tech stocks and then rationalized their comeback on the way down. Many of those people that didn't get out of the market and are still in tech are the boomers warning people.

@RMac18 @nycsouthpaw it's the only place to buy Dogecoin. They all rushed in to sell when Musk called it a scam. AOL used to go down all the time in the late 90s because of free porn. This is similar.

@davidgokhshtein Please look into how digital information is processed and transmitted... twitter is having issues force closing. They can't handle it...it's exactly like the 90s with the beginning of internet with everyone trying to sign into AOL at the same time.

When cell phone came out everyone thought it was stupid. When the internet was created no one thought anyone would use it. When AOL came out everyone said just write a letter Look at us now we shop, message and buy cryptocurrency from our phones
