@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

AOL’s email service is bullshit. I haven’t used that email in nearly a decade, and they ****** me over by disabling my account for inactivity. I tried everything to recover my account, but those shitbags won’t let me in 🤬

AOL sent out 1 billion cds that were nothing more than an ad campaign 1 cd will take over 1 million years to decompose AOL was relevant for less than 20 years and is now a footnote to history Their damage to the environment will outlast humans #ThisIsCapitolism

Part of the difficulty is that most of the motivating stories about differential privacy focuses on anonymization failures. AOL, Netflix, Mass. health records, all of those are bad, but DP was a lateral solution to those problems.

@Michael62721188 @Tweetermeyer @IwriteOK AOL wasn’t junk though so one can’t really compare AOL with Tesla. The problem with AOL was they did not adapt from dialup speeds.
