@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

@AOL a tip for the future, please, slow down. It would help me. 🙏

@RealCableGuy1 @realscottyriggs The AOL-Turner merger would have ended it no matter how good or bad the product was in 2000-01.

@MollyJongFast @winklevoss I was banned from an AOL chat room in the late 90s for being a young *******. Internet content providers have been moderating public communication forums literally for the entire existence of the internet.

  • chroma_neo Chroma Virus (@chroma_neo) reported

@NormanC43960250 @MinneapolisPD During the brief time I did tech support and saves for AOL, you wouldn't get the bonus for saving accounts unless they stayed 3 months.

  • Chelsea74939383 Chelsea C (@Chelsea74939383) reported

@AOL For the past few days I've been unable to access my mail. I am therefore scrapping this crappy service and going back to gmail.

@julcasagrande Never did it. I mean I know what AOL stands for but never was on it. 😂

@slymarbo666 Nothing new, just they're bad for gaming. The world wants cross play, Sony has stood against it for years. They remind of old school apple and AOL. Instead making things all inclusive they cut themselves from the rest of the world.

@MrMichaelBates @Timcast I mostly used BBSs because CompuServe, Prodigy, AOL were all long distance calls. It was more expensive than the service (though you'd get those free month deals or whatnot).

  • jonacoles Jonathan Coleman (@jonacoles) reported

@jennyschuessler @JenHoward @nytimes In the spirit of full candor, I have a stash of email correspondence that I would never part with under any circumstances., despite constant razzing that NO ONE is on AOL anymore (which is not true). I opened up an additional email account so we could "gchat" at her insistence

  • astutepanther Jeremy Parker (@astutepanther) reported

@BadLegalTakes …while the “publishers” were the websites of the ISP's customers, like for example the AOL member pages. Now, if the ISPs were liable for everything its customers printed on their service, they'd have to police the content of millions of webpages—something unsustainable. 5/46
