@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

@ageofthefever Or AOL Time Warner still decides they don't want wrasslin after a few years. WCW gets shut down, and the territories are back for a few years until some monopolistic corporation slowly buys them all up again.

@Matt_Pinner 19 - I never had an AOL address either. My dad still does, though. Do I get a half point for that…?

@TrevorOfficialR Yeah my parents sucked ****. I wasn't allowed to watch ninja turtles or have caffeine and they made me use Integrity Online instead of AOL so I didn't really see any cool zombie movies or learn about evolution etc. maybe I'll start now (zombie movies not biology)

The thrill is the return signal. In 1995, in an AOL chat room at 2am, you’d hit enter and within seconds a stranger you’d never meet would respond to something you’d typed. That hadn’t been possible before. New sensation, no word for it. Praise and rage registered the same. The poster wasn’t fishing for validation. The poster was fishing for evidence that the void had heard them. That’s the drug. I’m doing it right now, typing this.

@AIRGold_ Joke way back even before AOL forums( early 90s) that if Meltzer started praising a guy who he hated before he was a source. You can tell even easier who talks to the sheets now because they are overtly nice to wrestlers or say nothing bad or say this group should hire them.
