@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

@FSure4 @Shannaluscious I just used my first name as my login on Bulletin Board Servers in the late 80's, there really was no unique login, each server had their own, if Keith was taken, I'd switch to initials. First Social Media was AOL in 95, I was CTKAG Way back, I was Pathfinder on CB radio.

@The_CryptoKid Napster before iTunes. Netscape before chrome. AOL before everything else. Network effects are important, but will bow before superior tech.

@JohnCollins_KP C’mon. I LIKE those 15 emails sent to all of my AOL addresses telling me how to cut down on junk emails. They satisfy my sense of irony.

Already triggered by “you know how expensive AOL is.” The way my mom used to say that **** to me as a kid- and AIM and chat room 😭 😭 I miss the good ol’days.

@AOLSupportHelp Good morning! We're Verizon customers. 3 out of our 5 email addresses won't work, on Outlook (phones and desktops). We've changed passwords several times. Says it's trouble retrieving from the server. We can only get our email online. Thanks.

Why is @googlemaps slower than dialup AOL recently? It's a real problem when you're lost. 😑

January 6th was “peaceful” in the same way that AOL is a cutting edge internet service provider.

@The_CryptoKid Yknow what else had the ‘network effect’ and ‘first movers advantage’? Myspace, AOL, Yahoo, Internet Explorer… how are they doin these days?

@CindyBegel @brianscully This is true. Using two spaces and an AOL address gives the impression you’re in your 50s and never updated with the times.
