@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

@chamath @asemota AO who? Millennials have never heard of AOL. Or CMGI, Lycos, Geocities. But the ones that survived have prospered. Amazon, EBay, etc. Google’s wasn’t even a thing back then. The crypto future will be similar. Diversify.

Were talking about “What cultural item are you older than” at work. We’re slow. So far, I’m older than MTv, AOL and VHS cassettes. This is a fun game to make me feel like I AM ACTUALLY THE OLDEST IN THE STORE. I don’t like this game... I’m taking my slap wraps and going home.

If I could AOL pr0ggie day's punt someone off twitter until they can dial back in, I would do so for every "2020 wasn't historically that bad"-take I saw in my feed today.

I have learnt three things on this Twitter today. 1. I got a book title. I’ve bought the book and I’ll be reading it. 2. I got a tip on a crypto service I’ll be researching. 3. That Chamath was an employee at AOL, FB before becoming this huge at investing.

@Tennesseine Did that once in the early days of AOL chatrooms. Never did it again. He was a good guy, but words on a screen are just that...words. I met him in person like a few months later. In person is when you find out all the nitty gritty. Again, he was a good guy. Just wasn't for me.
