@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

@dreamresidue it's a super old internet service called the ImagiNation Network, was kind of a competitor to AOL back in the early days! no idea why anyone let me log on there when I was like 8 years old but mostly I just remember that it was cute & I liked it

Perhaps let's take a stroll down memory tech lane In the 1990s, Bill Gates was asked which company kept him awake at night: AOL, Intel...What kept him awake at night, he proclaimed, was “two guys in a garage in the Silicon Valley.”

No attempted rebrand can be as bad as the time when Verizon named their (recently sold off) AOL - Yahoo subsidiary “Oath” because they thought that would make people enthusiastic.
