@SgtJames13 I would do that if it weren't linked to my paystubs and personal benefit info. I *have* to have access to them. But I used an old throwaway AOL email, at least. None of their damn business what my actual, personal email is.

@SnarkMaster3000 @Known_Edward Winsock wasn't bad. Windows 3.1 was the problem. Early ISPs charging so 🤬 much for a 56k connection was bad. Free coasters from AOL was nice. I even made a few windchimes!

@SethDillon Twitter can never fail, just Ask Jeeves, Napster, AOL, Compuserve, MySpace, Friendster, Alta Vista, Netscape, Prodigy, Excite, Geocities, Palm, Compaq, Gateway, etc. We were about to dance on its grave, when one controversial guy brought it back to relevance. Twitter will fail.

...I had always used some different names but never felt particularly married to any of them. However, after that day I decided that my name must be Axton, though I kept my numbers at the end. Those numbers were the first autogenerated numbers I had since my first days on AOL.
