@clubjade That's pretty crappy if it's true. I don't remember what the name of my old AOL Star Wars group was, but we do have a FB group (that's pretty slow/inactive).

@tim1546 @simaguey I disagree, the topology of the IoV suggests it will be similar to the Internet. This is like saying if AOL is first no other website / service will be able to compete. Why would we even want that scenario? I don't want a winner, I want competition & choice.

@CryptoWitch_ Early TCP/IP stack stories (yawn): what came with Windows was dreadful so there were 3rd-party Winsock layers you could pay for that actually worked.Anyone seeking a better-than-AOL experience (which I never had) needed to tweak their OS & find an ISP that gave you pure Internet.

@Loopifyyy When a Corp focuses on their pockets instead of the customer they miss the jump - IE: AOL, Blockbuster etc. The next jump is going to follow something like a DAO model putting ownership and governance in the hands of the customer.

@balajis If WBTC can interact natively with any Bitcoin/Lightning address sure.(it can't) WBTC requires you to hold ETH to pay gas fees and it's an erc20 token it's only useful on a closed network. Almost akin to an "intranet" or "AOL".
