The best thing about being old is that SMS did not exist when I was young and full of stupid. The only people who got an earful of my young ignorant arrogance was my close friends, family, and 12 randos in an AOL chat room.

I cannot believe how poorly much of the Internet - particularly social media interfaces - continues to operate in the year 2022. Never-ending glitches. Facebook is the worst. It's like being back on AOL in the days of dial-up. Only with less functionality.

@StevenDJBaumann Im not a celeb. Far from it, but I still get DMs from women on fishing expeditions. I just delete them and I have never, in the 12 yrs, sent an unsolicited DM. This isn't like the old day AOL IM.
