Real talk. Novelty is hard to come by during pandemic. A few weeks ago, I was really enamored with online dating now sent back to my aol teen days. As a cranky ***** who hates first dates and strangers, this seemed like a perfect solution (poly, remember?).

Moreover, **** the ppl. giving so much credit to the johnnie-come-lately’s for whom the camel’s back just broke when that camel was dead and buried under straws already. Credit to Waters, Tlieb, AOL and others that were fighting all along, they were always right. Always!

@electroboyusa I have one. Every time anyone asks for an email, either on a store or online to access a website/get a discount, I give them my aol address. Haven’t looked at it in months and months. It’s a garbage email acct. I give my real one to friends. I have 40k unread emails on AOL.

@jaybny Anti pattern to what bitcoin? Bitcoin is the anti pattern now in 2021. It was a proof of concept to teach and now it’s out dated like aol was to broadband. Just not doing anything new and was cool in it’s day, but sort of worn out now. Needs to have a slow painful death.

@VerizonSupport I figured out the issue myself. It has to do with oAuth2 support, but AOL failed to inform their users of this change. I never got a notification and it's not in their "troubleshooting steps." All they had to do was point me in the right direction, but they couldn't even do that.
