@IOHK_Charles What a genius, right? How foolish was the previous management not to think about it? Facebook could do the same, why not? Oh no wait, there is a problem, anyone remembers AOL? ops!

  • shoesbynoonoo Nicholas Templeman (@shoesbynoonoo) reported

Is this going to be as bad as the AOL Time Warner thing

  • Maribellita Maribel La Luz (@Maribellita) reported

6/ But this adobo crap is as old & tired as an AOL account. As bad as WordPerfect. It ain’t funny. It’s whack and offensive. Knock it off. #happytohelp #dobetter #stopit

  • Barbdoesntcare Barbara Senior Nasty Woman (@Barbdoesntcare) reported

@RonFilipkowski Well that certainly gives insight in regards too not realizing that it is not necessarily the money but the principle. Another bad for business move is the big twit tweeting or retweeting conspiracy theories and expecting people to pay for that 💩. Anyone still paying for AOL?

  • RoeVWadeBoggs Duncan Sheik Mohammed 🦃 (@RoeVWadeBoggs) reported

Instead of charging $8 for verification, Elon should adopt a pay-by-the-hour model like AOL had in the 90s. Bring back the login noise and I guarantee people will call it le epic bacon good sir and post the "shut up and take my money" screen from Futurama.

  • businessdonkey Donkey Wrestler (@businessdonkey) reported

@LanceStorm It'll end up like AOL in the 90s where you have to call in to cancel, then have them try and keep you

  • VeteransforKari Veterans For Kari (@VeteransforKari) reported

@KariLakeWarRoom @katiehobbs To be fair, Katie Hobbs tweets using a 1995 Compaq presario with a 56k dial up modem using AOL as her service provider because she hasn't been to the office to update it yet

  • USHouseEquality US House Equality (@USHouseEquality) reported

@voxdotcom the "No"-Go Network effect, always flashing a warning to anyone with a clear-eyed assessment of the space, oh, you want to buy aol? lol. go ahead.

  • Giz_the_Mogwai Gizmo (@Giz_the_Mogwai) reported

@lunaxxloveless Don't know been rocking pop up blockers since I got off aol. I actually purchased a computer and received a damaged ssd in it and used imagevenue to host the pictures of the damage to show them, and they complained about porn pop ups, never knew the site had any lol.

  • LobsterWayne Wayne Parry’s Lobster (@LobsterWayne) reported

@emptywheel @jamiesaker Elmo has achieved something noteworthy: AOL/Time Warner is no longer the worst business deal ever.
