    @0hour1 Bro that was how I was able to go online Those free discs in the mail or that got shipped inside of magazines were my lifeblood back in the day...I never actually USED AOL, but that was legit my gateway to the internet to be able to download music and talk to people on Yahoo!

    Someone should do this but like old AOL instant messenger afk statuses for modern times. Like “in a meeting till 2pm!” vs a green icon for being open to visitors. Or like a yellow icon for “doing laundry but down to chat and fold!” or “about to run errands!” for half busy but still down to hang

    @jayroo69 @0hour1 Yeah it was over supposed threats I had made on AOL that were just comments taken out of context. The charges were eventually dropped but I was facing actual jail time and a felony charge. They never said a word about all the **** in the computers though. I had 3.

    The WWF Rumor Mill board on AOL in like 1998 was a wild place, people made their own factions. I’m not joking. Then AOL shut down the boards and everyone eventually migrated to boards hosted by the ACLU.
