@rehab_kyle @vocaloidfagboy I'm a Wizard who used to be online since the 1990s and I predate /b/, so I associate Being Online still with Trying to Be polite -the Internet went from being Virgin (aol) to chad (b) to Virgin (modern social media) in your local argot, from my pov. @Grummz Companies need to get over the 20th century mentality that office work needs to always be on site. Problem is many large companies still have admins who use faxes, think the internet is still AOL & who think knowing anything about computers & the internet is, "for nerds"...

🚨 S&P 500 IS A COPY-PASTE OF 2000 DOT-COM CRASH I’ve noticed a very similar market structure between 1997-2000 and current setup... 1997-2000: High capital concentration in a few leaders - back then it was internet companies (Cisco, Intel, Microsoft, AOL) 2025-2026: Now it’s “Magnificent Seven” (Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Tesla) Euphoria around a new technology - back then it was the internet, now it’s AI and this is what’s fueling rally and driving market overvaluation... Global leaders are aggressively developing AI, pouring BILLIONS every month into building and training agents... At same time, Fed is keeping interest rates elevated - back then average rate was around 4.5% and today situation is very similar Market keeps printing new highs, inflating AI bubble more and more every day... Resolution can happen at any moment, you need to be prepared... Don’t become exit liquidity - turn on notifs, I’ll update

@BexWords @RedKingRuairi75 They’re everywhere. Were you on AOL back in the day? Bunch of lower middle to working class or poor married men hitting on minors. The class and education-based skew is uncomfortable to parse without sounding like an *******.

@PaxAmericana_ @xBubbaMattx And yes that was another issue that was plaguing the company It was a few key factors: money laundering, internal Sabatoge & terrible creative seem to be the culprits If AOL time warner truly cared abour WCW, they'd move them another night & re tool Clear they weren't interested. It was more less an idea to burn the house down & take as much as they can

@smallest_sparky @IconicChriss Wrong! Hogan put over Arn Anderson, Flair, Luger, Sting, Kidman, Vampiro....He literally made Paul Wight aka Big show into a star WCW got pretty bad to the end creatively But don't excuse the money laundering & self sabotage done by AOL Time warner either. If they cared about WCW, they would've easily put them on another night & rebooted

@mirageofwins @jeanphilippedr1 @jedigoodman No, Eric Bischoff didn't bankrupt WCW. It never filed bankruptcy. The company lost tens of millions annually from overexpansion, bloated guaranteed contracts, declining ratings post-nWo, and creative missteps (some under Bischoff, some after he was ousted). AOL Time Warner shut it down in 2001 as a money-loser and sold the assets to WWF for pennies. Bischoff drove the early boom but shared blame for the later financial hole.
