Adulting department, successful. Cancelled an email account from an old ISP that I hadn’t been on in (several? Many?) years. Sorry to those 20k plus emails that are never getting read. Goes to the graveyard in the ether, along with my AOL account.

If you guess your aol password incorrectly three times it locks you out for 12 hours. No customer service override. This is not how you provide customer satisfaction an why I moved to Gmail 😂

@RyanSAdams @TuurDemeester It'll be ok. ETH all locked up, patchwork sock of a network, business jumping ship to other chains, users too. High gas fees of $5 compared to $0.01-0.08 on most other chains. First mover AOL advantage - that's all the tech guys can see. Because the tech ain't even close.

@davidcapello At some point Gmail became an advertising engine (that can also send emails) and never looked back. I think something “clicked” for the worse after the “organized” inbox made “promotions” first-class. It’s the same as yahoo and aol before it — and only marginally less tacky.

@GrumpyCatterman I get that there are parents that are not accepting of their kids and I understand privacy in a house that "doesn't allow" anything like that BUT as someone that grew up in the AOL chat days, this is unearthing a lot of red flags i was told about basic as **** online safety

@elonmusk I hate @Apple due to their requirements that I am limited as to how many computers that I can register the music I bought under various logons. I never kept track and Apple is a a-hole for demanding that I should have. Apple once had an agreement with @AOL.
