  • antiqueboy Andrew Malin (@antiqueboy) reported from Congers, New York

Adulting department, successful. Cancelled an email account from an old ISP that I hadn’t been on in (several? Many?) years. Sorry to those 20k plus emails that are never getting read. Goes to the graveyard in the ether, along with my AOL account.

  • ldollaz_ Laura (@ldollaz_) reported from New Rochelle, New York

I hate telling people I still have a AOL account, but when they tell me they still use Yahoo and hotmail....I don’t feel bad at all.

  • illrecognizeill IG:@illrecognizeill (@illrecognizeill) reported from Bronx, New York

Bronx girls on Instagram be thinking this **** is AOL in 1998 with screen names like BxJeterGrl1086.

  • smp00 Sheila Phelan (@smp00) reported from Cos Cob, Connecticut

@aolmail my cell email app is all of a sudden not accepting my credentials. Web mail works fine. Is this a temporary serve issue?

  • AlanModracek Alan Modracek (@AlanModracek) reported from Closter, New Jersey

@cjane87 I keep putting the emails in the spam folder, but the filter keeps putting the new ones in my inbox. Maybe AOL just sucks? Everything else I only have to flag once or twice, though.

  • Daniel_Guiney Daniel (@Daniel_Guiney) reported from Valhalla, New York

If you guess your aol password incorrectly three times it locks you out for 12 hours. No customer service override. This is not how you provide customer satisfaction an why I moved to Gmail 😂

  • Kitttiiieee 🐱✨ (@Kitttiiieee) reported from Yonkers, New York

@loveliestlor This was my first and favorite phone! As a teen I never cared to get a cell phone until this came out because I was always on aol/aim and only liked texting and not actually talking on the phone...not much has changed tbh lol

  • Robderbs Baseball May Never Come Back (@Robderbs) reported from Croton-on-Hudson, New York

I’m happy to see I’m not the only old guy who never changed his @AOL email from back in the day. #aoldown

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • joncruz spooky non-vеrified Jon A. Cruz (@joncruz) reported

@kwuchu Ok, there is ZERO EXCUSE for this. I was doing devices and servers/services back at AOL's Anywhere group back up through 2004 and we had the systems down so we could upgrade seamlessly with no downtime. Also when needed you do comp time during the week for weekend work.

  • SSkorkowsky Seth Skorkowsky (@SSkorkowsky) reported

@JMGardner8 It's great for small groups, and is our audio/video platform when running VTTs. But it's awful for large communities. Like the worst of the old 90s/00s message boards. People say, "You get used to it." But it's not 'getting used to'. It's resurrecting the old & dead AOL skillset.

  • MuckaRM MuckaRM (@MuckaRM) reported

@TTVDangerr @samuraibryce This is what happens as an old man streamer you need all the help. I’m basically the AOL user of streaming

  • ItsReallyWendy It's Really Wendy (@ItsReallyWendy) reported

@rroroll @notcapnamerica I'm old too - from the bad old days of dial up AOL. But you do exactly what she describes in the video. You follow links. Connections. It's nigh on impossible for the average person to be completely anonymous online if they interact with anyone.

  • FlorenceHRScott Florence of Northumbria (@FlorenceHRScott) reported

At this point four separate men, after hearing I write an email newsletter, have responded by asking if I'd like them to sign up with several email accounts to give me 'a little boost'. My newsletter has 20K subscribers but sure Liam help me out and sign up with your AOL.

  • TechDaddyMike Mike Scanlan (@TechDaddyMike) reported

@sameer_singh17 @mcuban I agree. We haven't had that "AOL" or Netscape moment where there is a killer application layer app. But you seem to imply it'll never come. Oh, it's coming. We just can't see it clearly at the moment. Like trying to see Uber clearly in 1995. Impossible.

  • twistedhumanoid Twisted Humanoid | XO (@twistedhumanoid) reported

@AOLSupportHelp Additionally I wasn’t warned that it was going to be shut down due to inactivity!

  • swiperight10 swiperight (@swiperight10) reported

@elonmusk We notice the increase of ads on Twitter from #Tesla and #SpaceX. If I recall that is what brought down AOL ? Selling ads to entities that buy ads. Basically becoming a non-revenue money laundering scheme ? This time it won’t be investors that bring Twitter down. DOJ.

  • bernielomax bernielomax (@bernielomax) reported

    @ferrisboohoo @BrandonMarhal @jorymicah AOL didn't invent ****, no. LOL!

  • fungitrophia Uncle JJ (@fungitrophia) reported

@synthphunk Does that pre-date AOL? I honestly have never heard of that one.
