@FlyinBrianJr Yes, I'm conyacting AOL customer service, and they told me to try another dial-up server, and update the software for AOL instant messaging. Still waiting for a good connection. That 1 gig speed internet isn't an improvement either.

@michaelmiraflor @Aerocles @MattJMcD Why is it a problem that they’re asking what web3 is? To me, that’s a great sign that they care. This is so new in any practical sense. The web itself didn’t matter to most without the browser & AOL. Web 2 didn’t matter for most until Facebook. Most people need real applications.

Verizon has sold AOL and Yahoo combined for $5 billion which is almost half of what it bought it for. It has sold it to Apollo Private Equity. Get this, these guys are the owners of the Venetian resort and casino in Las Vegas that's what it has come down to.

As expected, Verizon has sold Yahoo and AOL to PE. That was a costly, horrible & embarrassing experiment in content-land for them in recent years. I’ll withhold comment about the value of these sites in 2021, though.

@DeaScott1 Okay, I’ll do that with Gmail. Another problem is that they are arriving in my gmail inbox, but as if they are aol & yahoo accounts, which I do not have. I go to aol & yahoo to sign in, just to verify, & an error message comes up stating that that email address does not exist. ❓
