Although I like most of the people that I grew up with (hackers, programmers, people on AOL) and would claim more loyalty to the majority of them than... other people (such as anyone in fandom), some of these people have been known to make stupid decisions.

@quickbear @gr3yg00 Yes, that makes sense!! I remember that I mainly used internet at university (text only). Then I bought a modem, but it took a while for it to be useful. First there were BBS (bulletin board service: useless), later AOL, and again later real internet access.

@ArbiterofCool I was never on the AOL Boards, I started on the AF1 Boards. Yes, I remember Bruce aka Future Villain. I got into it many times with him as he called me out once and then it was on! We had very fun sparring matches, sad that he passed. I enjoyed him very much..

@AOL How do I contact customer support? I haven’t used my old email address in years and now I need the emails I received. Error message: “This account has been deactivated due to inactivity, but we would love to welcome you back! Click Sign up below to create your new account.”

@JohnASuggs01 @AOLSupportHelp I had to ask to have it escalated and their corporate escalation team did it for free. First thing to do now is shut down the account
