@benedictevans Then let the gen-xer’s have the real **** already. I got an AOL login for proof. The boomers can suck it because they couldn’t even figure out how to use a mouse until 99.

@CareyTheTorch Came out in 97 and was really very good…. Until AOL bought them and let them die! Too bad as it was a head of it’s time.

@jimathers Add 4 no-slip pads onto the bottem and make it a drink coaster. Used to do it all the time when AOL still send their crap to Canada. Always good for a chuckle with the guys when they came over for a couple beers.

@DailyNorseman @DKSportsbook This team never runs away with it at Soldier Field. We’re great or we’re awful, it doesn’t matter. The last time we won by 7 pts in Soldier Field, AOL bought Time Warner, the STL (!) Rams were the greatest show on turf, and people were still making Y2K jokes. #takethepoints

1. Story behind the username. OK SO many moons ago there was a disney channel movie based off the book The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. The bad guy of that used the handle Viper. When we as a family got AOL dial up, parents asked me what name I wanted. I said Viper.

@jdcmedlock @daveweigel These ******* kids don’t know I stole credit cards off AOL to buy myself a 56k modem and my older brother’s friend 10 pairs of white dockers. This place isn’t for clout, it’s for free **** and we’ve lost sight of that.

@Sun_Megami @WSJ Education is by definition an investment. If you put 160k into AOL stock then dont look to me for pity for your garbage decisions. And it is exactly like buying merchandise because her degree was probably 30k anywhere else. Dumb-dumb paid a 130k brand markup. She had choices.

@Hanakookie1 @Just_Reboot You're getting confused. AOL was a service provider that added access to the world wide web and other areas of the Internet. Yes, they had their own browser. You had to pay for IE too. You had to buy it with Plus! 95 before it was packaged with the OS. And then pay for Internet.
