You youngins won't get this but a lot of times I wish twitter was like the old AOL chatrooms of the mid 90's where you could pick your topic of what you wanted to enter and not have all the other crap show up !!

@VijarKohli @azeem I think this login graphic released in AOL 4.0. I started on 3.x and was a beta tester for 4.0... I thought I was the coolest kid in school. I was not.

I can’t imagine coming of age in the era of Social Media’s internet. MY internet was just Google and AOL; these kids now gotta be ~performative as HELL to make up for an entire lack of identity — and holy ****, are they vapid. Must be stressful maintaining such dumb clownhood. 🤡

@wckoehler ok grandpa we know it’d be “groovy” to dialup AOL or whatever but we need you to upload this yaml to the service mesh, wait for the distributed ingress controller to converge, and get this on staging because our $450m series D only gives us 3 months of runway with our AWS spend

@motoridersd This is honestly why I set her family up with Google Workspace waaaaaay back when it launched as Google Apps For Your Domain (and free for up to 100 users). Better this than to have to help with being locked out of some aol . com account or some ****, lol.
