Oh yes, and back in the waaaay old days (like 1994) internet services (or their closed-circuit predecessors like Prodigy, AOL, and Compuserve) charged BY THe HOUR for service. Think about how many people would stay off the internet if that were the truth today!

@citynightcap I never used a fully mechanical typewriter, by the time I was old enough even those had been replaced by semi computerized versions never dialed a rotary phone never had an AOL email, but I used other email providers at the time AOL was popular

@beachbumcapital The conclusion is pretty damn straight: AOL promoter and decamillionaire Jim Albertelli preferred selling 39M of his $VXTR shares to settle the AR instead of going another route (e.g. PP at Alaw). That tells you all you need to know about the prospects for AOL (and Voxtur).
