Oh yes, and back in the waaaay old days (like 1994) internet services (or their closed-circuit predecessors like Prodigy, AOL, and Compuserve) charged BY THe HOUR for service. Think about how many people would stay off the internet if that were the truth today!

@Sharat_Chander I *still* have an aol address (which is both hilarious and a conversation starter). However, I never owned an encyclopedia. Why would I when the library had multiple encyclopedias I could use for free?

@aureylian A 3. Never bothered making a MySpace account(my Facebook one was made for me by an ex, even). Never used AOL or sent a postcard.

@scottjohnson One point for me. AOL was dumb even when it was at its peak. So I never had an AOL account.

@PorkNickel I still own a dictionary and still pay my rent with a paper check. Never used AOL, though. Did everything else.

@alexthechick 1 - Never used an AOL email address. Not sure I never had one, since I did do a free trial. I might be certifiably old.

  • Ladysam1991 Samantha🏳️‍⚧️🇳🇱 (@Ladysam1991) reported

@aureylian Only 2. Here in the Netherlands we didn't have AOL (or I don't know about it) and I've never paid with a paper check

  • BrettSchwan Brett Schwan (@BrettSchwan) reported

@AlexxxCoal I've done (or still do) them all. Then again, I'm old. I'm guessing you've never had an AOL email, used a floppy disc, used a typewriter or owned an encyclopedia.
