@Wayfare73806145 My nephew met his fiance’ on a dating site & they married about 5 mos ago. I stayed far away from dating sites because I used aol in the 90’s, seeing people meet, date, lie, & then get crushed. I guess that can happen anywhere, but I’d never share a car with a dating site date.

@zarchasmpgmr @a_giorgio I was lucky to have a 1200 baud modem for my C64, as opposed to my friend down the street who only had a 300 baud modem. But QuantumLink was usable (barely) even at 300 bps because a lot of the menus and content were stored locally (and the whole service mutated into PC/Mac AOL).

@acedtect Some of you never sat in front of your computer all evening after you finished your homework waiting for AOL to not be busy so you can get 15 minutes online before bed and it shows.
