@KarenBeChirico @TPCarney I agree with Columbine. As a preteen, it affected me greatly. I remember sitting at the family computer (on dial-up AOL) crying while looking at a site to memorialize the victims while an awful midi version of “Every Breath You Take” by The Police played on repeat. 💔

@AnimeContexts Hey #Gamers I'm looking for the title of a game, think you can help me? I believe it was either an early internet games, or an AOL game. I remember it was about a guy, that looked a like like wallace, from Wallace and Gromit. I think it was called spooky house 1/2

People that are offended by everything on Twitter wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes in an AOL chat room. That **** was a savage Wild West.

@RepBoebert Who could've seen this coming. In the post AOL/Prodigy/CompuServe days, internet speak was pretty much 'anything goes'. Now that everyone's comfy with current services, CEOs have the power to 'delete'. It's their dime. We can't do a damn thing about it... 😡

It was still AOL 1.0 when I first joined. They charged by the hour for slow dial-up service. Before that, I used Excel 2.0 running on a run-time version of Windows 2.0. Before that I used Lotus 1-2-3 running on MS-DOS 2.0 (or maybe 1.0?)

@FrieselRobert The internet is a big anonymous cesspool of bad behavior. Has been since AOL floppies were inserted into our drives. After 30+ years of it, I don’t let it get to me anymore. My standing reaction is “Whatever” (Delete/Block).

@YoPaulieNJ you would've hated me during the AOL/AIM days. A new screen name every week. It's the Gemini in me, I could never settle on just one.

@music10120 @AOLSupportHelp Were you able to find a fix for this? I am in the same position right now. My password is correct but I still can’t get new emails to come through.

@Jest_Iris How ******** did I miss out on Clippy? Is it because I got banned from AOL as a teen for lewd conduct in chatrooms?
