Re: @LongboxHeroes After Dark... If you think people paying for Netflix's disc-mailing option is odd, consider that AOL still has over a million paying subscribers to their service. Also, unrelated... any idea why my Netflix just stopped working recently?

  • Modest_Arrogant Modestly Arrogant~1776 (@Modest_Arrogant) reported

@getongab I know you are experiencing scaling issues right now, but c'mon. It's like accessing aol on dial up waiting for page to load.

But I did love AOL IM. Crushed me when they it shut down (why!). Lost touch with a lot of people that I used chat with handful times a year. Even bought an Omnisky wireless modem sled for my Palm V to IM wirelessly back in 2000. It was glorious

  • GoldenAnnaMarie Anna Marie Golden (@GoldenAnnaMarie) reported

@aolmail The new email SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS for users on tablet mobile screens. Too much wasted space means I have to scroll a lot more while having a physical disability that makes a lot of scrolling difficult. I hate the layout and I want the old interface back.

  • uniquponym Pseud O Nymity (@uniquponym) reported

@inkedtater @QuinnyPig @bequinning I don't think that the services AWS provides are what the legislators meant by "interactive computer service". So-called "grid computing" or "utility computing" had barely been conceived at the time. This was referring to AOL and Compuserve.

  • KimberlyColumb5 FBI.gov(Under Cover)🕵🏻 (@KimberlyColumb5) reported

@ArtValley_818 Old AOL throttled access- least those who connected was able actually use service. Instead they allowing it to be bogged down and inoperable for everyone! Everyone pushing on door, nobody gets through probably by design. We’ve seen too many traitors, so yes I’m skeptical!
