@the_binp @SamtheNightOwl I grew up on aol back when it was an entire allocation that had to be used with its own ****** browser. You can look up my old screen names and still find my away messages in records of old. You don't know me! I never used other sound bites because I was powerful (12 years old)

On one hand, yeah, we'll all go on to the next thing if/when Elon either burns this site down after getting dunked on too many times or turns it into TwitChan. Did it with AOL, forums, myspace, lj, g+, fb, etc. On the other, I'm not in remotely the same place I was then.

@deaflibertarian I met my GF (Over 20 years now) on AOL. "Red Dragon Inn" It turned out we had been going to the same Univ. for several years, but had never met. Both knew some of the same people.

@CubicleApril I think AOL will still go down as the worst for destroying TWO successful businesses in one merger at the least opportune time ever. But Twitter is looking pretty bad.

Most likely, Twitter will never again be worth $44B. Will it go the way of MySpace, Tumblr, Yahoo, Netscape or AOL? Perhaps. I do think there’s a place for a text heavy social media platform. One thing is for certain, content moderation is not Twitter’s biggest issue.

Short Tesla because Elon is gonna have to liquidate it to pay for tanking Twitter. This was worse than the AOL Time Warner deal. Holy ****. One week and he completely dissolved its revenue stream.
