In my book right now if you rely on a Gmail email address, you might as well use Yahoo, Aol, Hotmail or any other email-for-cheap service.

@FetchRewards When will you fix the AOL Mail connection error?

  • POedSubwayRider Pissed Off Subway Rider (@POedSubwayRider) reported

@AOLSupportHelp They why aren’t certain phrases blocked? CBD Oil, Manhood, Enlongation, ********, SAATVA. Right in the subject and your filters don’t do a damn thing. Other email servers are better at blocking spam

@bhavya_reads Like static on a TV tuned to a dead signal (before that just meant a blue screen) and the AOL dialup noise playing on my ears.

  • SNOCRASHED SNOWCRASHED (@SNOCRASHED) reported

@ChrisF_0x Great thread man. I do liken this to what I saw as a child on the internet AOL age — there was a moment where NOTHING seemed impossible, like all problems were just two circuits about to find their match because of this new tool. Fascinating when it wears off.

  • RHornik Richard Hornik (@RHornik) reported

By the way, speaking as a casualty of the AOL-TimeWarner merger, the AOL story never made any sense either except maybe to Henry Blodget

@RuncibleSpork Got it, resolution is the one thing you have to play or send them CDs a la AOL

  • ScottBufis Scott Bufis (@ScottBufis) reported

Am I really the only one who misses AOL? Damn. Nostalgia is a helluva drug.

  • SpaceMonsieur Space Monster (@SpaceMonsieur) reported

@marcobesier It's a solution in search of a problem. 1. So was email in 1980. 2. You're only using it for "financial porn". Like pre-AOL dial-up. Give it time.

  • CrankyHorseLady Amber (@CrankyHorseLady) reported

@BillyM2k @slashdot I remember the old dialup days. Never had the “talk” as a kid about bird and bees…. I had AOL 😳
