  • ToddHeadleeAZ Todd Headlee (@ToddHeadleeAZ) reported from Scottsdale, Arizona

FACEBOOK & TWITTER might want to check themselves. They may THINK they have a monopoly on Social Media now so they can pull this censorship crap, but I'm old enough to remember when AOL seemed like the only game in town too. Competition CAN & WILL happen. #DontBurnBridges

  • Foradancer Nancy Iannuzzi (@Foradancer) reported from Phoenix, Arizona

@pugnaciouskvz1 @AOL God I hope he doesn’t get involved. Everything he touches turns to crap.

  • jamesmfee James Fee (@jamesmfee) reported from Tempe, Arizona

someone asked me where "cageyjames" came from. It was my original AOL login from got knows when I signed up for that. Compuserve had numbers at the time and I had to come up with a name.

  • ckeckholm Eveliany (@ckeckholm) reported from Phoenix, Arizona

@Xandara The chat rooms! And then getting a long distance charge on our phone bill cause the dial up numbers for AOL weren’t free for our area, even though they were the same area code and pre-fix for phone numbers that weren’t long distance………….

  • JesiMattox jesi♓️ 🔜Decadence (@JesiMattox) reported from Tempe, Arizona

“I remember I used to **** with the AOL chatrooms”.. can someone kill me please

  • NelsonG Nelson G (TEXXXAS) (@NelsonG) reported from Phoenix, Arizona

The amount of spam @gmail is letting in is ridiculous. Whoever is marketing and sending to a (clearly fake) @AOL.com address is beating their spam filter left and right. Piss poor job @Google i expected better from a service that can machine learn who I regularly speak to & about

  • sheedhussle Battōsai The Tweetslayer (@sheedhussle) reported from Phoenix, Arizona

That’s been happening. MSN/AOL Chatrooms mans used to hide being threats all the time. Most this shit been happening way before twitter. Twitter is just where folks ***** about it.

  • ThatGuy_Ryan_ That Guy You Know (@ThatGuy_Ryan_) reported from Phoenix, Arizona

@49ersSFGiants1 Yeah you ain’t wrong there. Never really messed with AOL. I was on but didn’t care for it. Only talked to people I knew from school and stuff.

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • SixteenPizzas High Quality Content™ (@SixteenPizzas) reported

@Anaerin @JenMsft @SwiftOnSecurity Damn now I want to rebuild the 90s AOL web interface with Discord dressed up to look like AIM

  • rob_ballou Rob Ballou (@rob_ballou) reported

There seem to be two takes on the Slack Connect DM: 1. It's like AOL messenger! 2. It's a major security and abuse issue

  • Symonator Symonator (@Symonator) reported

Getting rid of Virgin media once and for all. Sick of inconsistent connection after 6:45pm - might aswell use aol dial up... Remember that speed? That's where I'm at and @virginmedia international hardly speaking English customer service is a absolute nightmare.

  • DankMemeReserve D'meme Reservé (@DankMemeReserve) reported

@capitalarchist I think it's bigger than that. It applies to all these social media sites. This is all a bogus, empty distraction. People are all like "I'm a professional." **** you. This is a small evolutionary step from an AOL chatroom, which may even be lateral.

  • vriVirv vriVirv (@vriVirv) reported

@windowscentral With how Facebook Messenger essentially ripped off old MSN Messengers and AOL, I’m surprised @Microsoft never respond by resurrecting MSN Messenger as a direct competitor. The Skype and Team alternatives have been lacklustre.

  • HowYouCanCrypto LP (@HowYouCanCrypto) reported

@SightInplain @davidgokhshtein I'm sorry, I disagree. Bitcoin is the future of money, like AOL was the future of email and internet. Or like Blockbuster was the future of home entertainment. It's insanely slow and expensive and inconvenient. That will not be the future of money.

  • esabine1980 Erik Sabine (@esabine1980) reported

@WhatCultureWWE WCW was never meant to thrive. Especially under the Time Warner/AOL merger. Only when Ted Turner owned his own company by majority did WCW stand a chance. Ted loved WCW. I was a major WCW fan, but that place must have been hell to work at from 1999-2001.

  • amyalkon Amy Alkon (@amyalkon) reported

@Ask_Spectrum I just did. Also I got 10% of the signal I was paying for from June thru Feb, As did many in Venice & LA, because @Ask_Spectrum had too many people on each node. I was told no refunds til it was fixed. Well, now I want $ I paid for broadband while getting AOL style dialup speed

  • JournaldeTheMe Journal de TheMe (@JournaldeTheMe) reported

@AOLSupportHelp the problem remains the same by changing the password

  • AlwaysGrumpyCat ꪑ𝘪𝘢✨dating Xingkelei (@AlwaysGrumpyCat) reported

@lilfrostflower @makikialike I like all more too. Damn AOL and The Untamed gave me the worst kind of drama slump ever
