Nelson G (TEXXXAS) (@NelsonG) reported from Phoenix, Arizona
The amount of spam @gmail is letting in is ridiculous. Whoever is marketing and sending to a (clearly fake) @AOL.com address is beating their spam filter left and right. Piss poor job @Google i expected better from a service that can machine learn who I regularly speak to & about

FACEBOOK & TWITTER might want to check themselves. They may THINK they have a monopoly on Social Media now so they can pull this censorship crap, but I'm old enough to remember when AOL seemed like the only game in town too. Competition CAN & WILL happen. #DontBurnBridges

Eveliany (@ckeckholm) reported from Phoenix, Arizona
@Xandara The chat rooms! And then getting a long distance charge on our phone bill cause the dial up numbers for AOL weren’t free for our area, even though they were the same area code and pre-fix for phone numbers that weren’t long distance………….

@pugnaciouskvz1 @AOL God I hope he doesn’t get involved. Everything he touches turns to crap.

@hoosierdoggie @FOOL_NELSON @SunBleachedFOIA AOL was crap compared to the original Compuserve, which even worked great with my Atari 800xl and 130xes and a 2400-9600 baud modem. Then AOL bought Compuserve and destroyed it with the "new" Compuserve, driving both into the ground. In 1984, which internet are you referring to?

Steve Pool (@stevepoolverse) reported
@jdiannedotson It's sad to see how a change in top management can completely dismantle a creative company's endeavors. I am thinking Warner, HBO, and DC Comics are snakebit, because every time someone buys them, it all goes to ****. Anyone remember AOL-Time-Warner?
-
Monster (@MonsterATX) reported
@Straw_Shake @SteelSeries @DestinyTheGame Same issue for me. First, their AOL Internet wouldn't let me log in after confirming my account, then it's been showing blank since yesterday.

Sucks that @AOL email/account gets deleted after 6 months of inactivity. At least, if there was a special process to recover it. Talk about erased years of pictures, emails, and other things I would of loved to access. #disappointed
