FACEBOOK & TWITTER might want to check themselves. They may THINK they have a monopoly on Social Media now so they can pull this censorship crap, but I'm old enough to remember when AOL seemed like the only game in town too. Competition CAN & WILL happen. #DontBurnBridges

@AOLSupportHelp He was told he didn't have the right password, and the only links he had were going back to an email address that he couldn't access by AOL, and a phone number that was no longer in service. We found a number to call AOL, got the problem solved. Thank you!

@marcelinesteeI @kunikoisrel Ahh yes. I still remember, with bike riding in my mouth, being 13 in AOL chatrooms with middle aged men trying to groom me. Luckily, I was smart enough to do no more than chat. Devil's Advocate though: I learned the manipulations men try and I didn't fall for that shit in RL.

  • offstage_news 😭🙏🦑🔑🍷 (@offstage_news) reported

@savetheOApls @hannah_syzygy @Random_Reynolds @clairekiechel haha, the first thought which came to my mind was: "we won't go there", as if the OA is a bad thing. (makes OA sound like an absence of leave abbreviation: AOL) Just then I got it, that you meant: "We wont go! OA!" Still I think it's a good tag, cause this impression lasts once.

  • nancylasocki Nancy (@nancylasocki) reported

@zoolegs 1. Told someone I was from Michigan and that the weather here was nice. 2. Called someone an *******. Both times I tried to lie and tell my grandma I didn't do it and both times AOL ratted me out with the receipts.

  • RageaholicRick RageaholicRick (@RageaholicRick) reported

@JonTronShow These parents don't know the struggle of looking up porn using AOL Dial Up, on a slow computer where chucking the computer out the window was faster than closing the browser!

  • jsoloff Jay Soloff (@jsoloff) reported

@VolCurve @Barton_options @bennpeifert @dynamicvol OEX was a ghost town when I was down there. VIX wasn’t there yet. SPX was where most of my group was and it was certainly the place to be. Single stocks were solid *if* you were in the right pit. AOL and YHOO were both no brainers back then.

  • SconnieTrader SconnieTrader (@SconnieTrader) reported

@ReformedBroker Luckily not even close to the worst. AOL Time Warner gotta be at the top.

  • smarty Marty Ringlein (@smarty) reported

@maiab I think I found the problem ... TechCrunch -> AOL -> Yahoo-> Oath -> Verizon ... your basically just on an old Bell Atlantic website at this point.
