@HistFantasy Knowledge of SW was past down to me by dad. Star Trek, too. Grew up watching them thinking nothing more than movies dad like. Dune, too. Then I found AOL and the internet...

@ArielleIrvine So I used to role-play on AOL back in the day, and after years of excessive description being used as **** measuring, I actually have a problem describing things until about the third revision.

@CloverErotica Not particularly, just a lack of desire to do it. I still associate heavy description with textbook style reads in the vein of Tolkien. Never could actually finish his books. I fix that during revisions. Too much time in AOL RP where excessive description was dickmeasuring.

@OrcbloodLegacy Never ending cycle. I have a new idea I'm contemplating while waiting on the western being edited. Almost sounds like something out of an AOL edge-lord's rp profile, lol. A dark elf vampire archeologist-wizard, specializing in paleodwarven, teaching at a dwarven university.

@TrudoJo Since I was about the age of AOL being in its prime, I always figured I could be spied on in any amount of ways, and just accepted it. I can't stop them from fixing their reality, but they'll never do it in my Moment. I say stupid **** so much they probably got a ton. Plus they can fabricate anything they want, literally. I used to be untamed chaos barely in coherence. Now in the manner of two years I went from a gamer trolling on x in his downtime to what I've become for now. And wow that's a lot of self references, Jesus I gotta work on that tbh. 🥲 I'm my own biggest fan

@OddStats Nightmarish. I was lucky enough to be sent to a private school and I remember kids just not coming back the following year. They’d tell me on aol instant messenger that their families couldn’t afford it, they were moving, etc… The son of a family friend worked in tech as a twenty something in the late 90’s. I remember he was driving that BMW z3 they had in the Bond movies. Always had expensive clothes, etc…moved back in with his parents. Of course as a kid I had no idea what was going on around me but to endure that as an adult must’ve been reality warping. It explains so much of the positioning around this AI hype. Everyone who endured the dotcom has clearly vowed to never see it again.
