Seems like my Verizon service is getting worse over time. I'm talking at least four years here. That lone tower on top of some silo 2 miles away just isn't cutting it. I've sent you mugs an invite to look over our property for a new tower site. 3 WEEKS AGO. AOL speeds up in here.

@GeekVibesNation It's not. It's all the result of the Discovery/WB merger, which is looking like the AOL/Time Warner debacle but 2x as bad.

you kids with your talk about HBO. Back in '01, Warner was crippled by the AOL merger. Turner had budgets slashed, projects cancelled left and right, and Cartoon Network had to resort to buying what was then called "Japanimation" shows. And Applebees ads were everywhere on TNT

@The_Law_Boy AJ is old enough to foment all his lunacy even before the Internet. Which is really saying something. Once he got that AOL Online CD in the mail circa '96 it was game on. He's the worst kind of ******* prick.

@SnshinePrincess Imagine how they would fare in the the 90's before social media, AOL messenger, or even the internet! If people said some of the things that are said daily here, directly to the person. Wow. People would be getting knocked ******** out, but not by words.

@omnisender Completely agree. AOL solved the accessibility issue of the early internet. Blockchain/NFTs are still waiting for that.

@Iamucli I am actually old enough to remember this. I talked to a few people when I was like 6 and they actually thought this **** was going to happen. And then January 1st 2000 rolled around and I was just chilling at home chatting with people on AOL. Lmao.
