    A couple of decades ago when IRC was the mainstream chat for most people online or rooms like Compuserve, AOL, Netcom, and others, there was always drama and always silly "wars" just like we see on social media today. There was a lot of bad stuff but it was easier to stop it.

    @Sociopathlete I never worked for AOL but I was a tech desk cowgirl for ten years, I felt this story in my *bones*. I was forever getting canes for not keeping my call times under x minutes, but my customers got the resolution they were looking for. It’s tough being human in an inhuman field.
