    @itstylersays Topshot is the AOL of NFTs. Both had early adoption with wide appeal and ruined it with horrible execution. Really shows the speed this space moves as AOL took years to do it, Topshot took months.

    @SimonZerafa @cyb3rops Dialup was the golden age of the Internet support stories. Loved hearing AOL customers complain the problem was the telephone line, the same one they were calling support on. Loved hearing the realisation when the penny dropped.

    @tokthadada I fell for some long distance dial-up site, when my AOL would connect …. It was charging long distance calls to Vanuatu 🇻🇺 … all so i could beat to some terrible low quality videos, wayyyyy too horny …. The phone bill came and my Dad almost killed me

    @aklingus There was like a 6 month period in the mid 90s where AOL chat rooms were a fun place to hang out… and when you started a convo with someone you’d have to rapid fire emails back and forth because there was no private chat or instant message system
