@AdtechGod 3 reasons I'm right: 1. The #s are going down. 2. FB has never shown they can innovate, all 'innovation' has come through acq. Gov't won't let them acq anymore. 3. Sheryl is gone and and Mark is ET. 4. Metaverse is too far away. In 2000 no one thought AOL could fail either.

@mygiantrobot DMX - Ruff Ryders Anthem. Pre-Napster, there were private chat rooms on AOL where people would “serve” MP3s. So painfully slow on a 14.4 kbit/s dial-up connection. Simpler times!

@POTUS Rural Pennsylvania doesn’t have cell service and only dial up in many areas. Also how do you expect people, to afford hi speed internet? When none is available. I still have an AOL account.

It's basically down to people concerned about malware and your uncle who still thinks you're on AOL.

Twitter help me out I’m trying to remember a movie that has a bit where they send an email and someone is like “can’t you un-send it?” And the other character is “we can’t we don’t have AOL technology” Wanna say a mission impossible movie

How pathetic is it that it was easier for me to have social interaction that was fruitful and interesting that required less effort in the late 90's on websites like AOL or on a yahoo chatroom than this modern social media website? I didn't have any such issues on anything else.

AOL sent an e-mail informing of service changes. With all the spam and not wanting the upgrade, I ignored it. The jackasses upgraded and charged me upfee anyway with the justification that I didn't click the "opt out" link. How the HELL is this legal?

.@AOL it’d be really nice if you could just give me back my account. You used to give out 6 mnth free at a time. I’ve had this addy since 2000. It’s attached to EVERYTHING. Isn’t there some special deal for people who met their spouse in your chats? Help me out please!

@PaulRiz504 @sama This a dumb take. Tech has a trajectory that can’t be stopped, good or bad. How the hell does it take away anything from STEM? Such a boomer, get off my lawn and still using AOL comment.
