Remember when the AOL free trial CDs would come in the mail, sometimes in a tin box. I’d try to get online and I’d get all the way on to the point when it asks for credit card and then be like ****

When this starter, teenagers didn't text message. They Instant Messaged. Sidney's AOL was surely active. Pagers worked but only if you could get creative with upside down numbers. #scream

@unquinnish @gochenourabout We still had typewriters; computer was a whole separate class for some reason! No hand huts, but we would get marked down for looking but not for being slow, so that worked. What REALLY improved my speed was AOL chatrooms tho.

@katheroony Yes On a computer, with a program, and a short tray over our keyboards so we couldn’t peak at the letters. I hated it. I learned to type faster with AOL, not that stupid program.
