@TProphet Wow, what a write down if they only get 4-5b for them. AOL alone is a huge ad platform now (huge as in combined businesses, I don't know if their ad stuff is actually used)

@iznaut When I first moved to the US we lived in rural Iowa and used a local ISP (there wasn’t a local AOL number). Local ISPs meant a limited number of lines - once school got out you’d get a busy signal when trying to connect if you weren’t fast enough.

Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password

  • h_posner Henry Posner (@h_posner) reported

Got a shoutout via Live Chat from a customer now in Hawaii who remembered me from decades (!) ago when I frequented Prodigy, CompuServe and AOL photo forums and Usenet newsgroups.

@CdnResistance Are they actively censoring **** now? I mean, it worked our really well for AOL chat.

@Pathetica @AOLSupportHelp For my elderly (and now, sadly, late, but a great long life) cousin as I try like hell (as Executor of his Estate) to clean up his email address and look for *real* stuff...yeah, so I had to call out AOL for their crap. :-) I tried to get HIM to leave AOL, too...

@JessieLameque @AbbyWil44094211 Hey Jessica and Abby. I just did this with your recommended IG guy. He sounded very promising, I had to pay him over $100. Then the final outcome was suspicious to me. I got an email from "airbnb help" but the email was "@aol.com" sounds like a fake to me, but takes 24-48 hrs
