Just in case it hasn't sunk in yet AI being able to code as well as it does means that software as a product or service is DEAD AS A DOOR-NAIL It will probably stop twitching in about 4-5 years for most people, but expect some companies to hold on by charging subscription services until 25 years after they have become irreverent...     @fekdaoui @bot mine barely made it past set up before shutting me down for 7 days. "Bot credits" according to Grok. Grok Bot is is still in AOL dialup stage. Needs work and some tweaks badly. Save you money

    @LikeUrDiane If we stick to AOL being only for emergency use or our own military use only, that would be fine. I miss landline phones.

    @RealAlexJones Viruses are boring. I used punters on AOL, NetBus, and Sub7 on IRC victims. I made a script on mIRC, and when someone /joins the #channel, it would send them porn.exe; when they for sure open it, it would pop up a MsgBox "porn is broken rofl.", vbCritical, "oops". #1337h4x0r

    @MuseumCommodore 17 for me. Never used a TAC-2. I am too young to have seen a C64 running in a store. But I have left things like the 10-print maze running on a C64 I found in use at a daycare. I sadly missed QuantumLink. I called the 800 number once, and an AOL rep answered.

    The truth is stranger. Long ago in the 90's there was still magic in the world every time you wanted to get on the internet you had to electrocute one fairy. Just one. Unfortunately disconnects were an issue. Slowly, one connection at a time, we fed all of the magic creatures into the gaping maw of oblivion to power our ICQ chats and AOL instant messengers. At least until Human Energy Update 3.9 Service Pack 2. Now every time you log in you just lose a little bit of your own soul, no fairy deaths required.

    @spann They still suck. They distribute your content and you would think something like it being on MSN or yahoo AOL different platforms like that would be a sale. Nope that is a partners and they give it to them for free so you make zero dollars off of it. I happen to me. Literally one of the worst third-party brokers out.
