@scottjstephens I mean hell, we “seasoned” spouses are explicitly told to not even use our real names on SM. We got our first AOL accounts and email addresses in college and it was beaten into your heads you never ever share any personal information online EVARR. There needs to be training here.

I dunno how many kids were actually actively using AOL in '94; all the kids I knew who were using message boards & chatrooms around that time were on Prodigy. I never even heard of AOL until like '96?

@n3ondemon The board is down so often I swear I'm about to edit my website on Geocities, sign into ICQ and AOL msg and wait for the sweet sound of dialup. Please why is it so unstable?!

Fear Street was awful. It also wasn’t 90s. Chatting on AOL in 1994? I don’t think so. It didn’t even come out until 1997. What a huge missed opportunity across the board. #FearStreet1994 #FearStreet

Almost everything was saturated when someone came along and knocked the #1 down to being number 4… YouTube had like 20 competitors and wasn’t first to market. Apple almost went out of business. Yahoo was the top search engine. AOL dominated the internet…
