@TProphet Wow, what a write down if they only get 4-5b for them. AOL alone is a huge ad platform now (huge as in combined businesses, I don't know if their ad stuff is actually used)

@JoeHolder_ Because capitalism. Aol knew we were going to eventually pay them. But for stuff that would actually save us, they don't give a **** about. I realize this is pessimistic but look around and you know it's true.

@Pentosh1 LMAO. 1995, as I signed up for AOL, a friend said: "One day, you'll be taking market signals from an anonymous bionic penguin who catches dips with a fishing net." So I dropped him off at a rehab facility. My bad, bro.

  • EliotReyna Eliot Reyna Caycho (@EliotReyna) reported

@Mendinso Yeah. The problem of late 90's Internet in South America was the blatant monopoly of @Telefonica that sincerely made impossible to widespread the 56K in the same way that AOL did in the US.

  • AlbiertHob Albiert Hob🐇🕳 (@AlbiertHob) reported

I came of age in the AOL era of the Internet and can say there’s never been a more exciting time than now. Feels like there’s so much possibility. And keep in mind all we had then was email and chat forums lol

  • __Briselda Schoolgirl Q (@__Briselda) reported

Can’t say **** no more. Ppl too sensitive. All these thugs crying… Stone-bone killers be whining about a post. This social media **** too cotton candy for me. Take me back to the AOL chat days.😮‍💨

  • MeH_not_meh Maryelizabeth ☕️📚 💜💗💙😷 (@MeH_not_meh) reported

@intheminivan1 @BillieBook The storytelling is bad — how do we know the indie store isn’t thriving? Because JF is literally the only purchase we see being made there. Also JF lies to & gaslights KK. Not Ephron’s best work, totally misogynistic. Plus borderline shilling for AOL.

  • ExcuseMyFly lil boo hag. (@ExcuseMyFly) reported

Thinking bout how i had Boosie trouble man lyrics as my old aol Email signature lmaooooo

  • CZEdwards CZEdwards (she/her/they/them) 💉💉💉 (@CZEdwards) reported

The horrifying moment when you realize that AOL, on its worst day, was a vastly superior steward of the internet than Facebook on its very best day.

  • Cokedupoptions John W. Rich (Fake Tech Exec) (@Cokedupoptions) reported

@JoeHolder_ As CEO of AOL, I could start sending the CDs again if that would help
