Something I remembered about AOL Instant Messenger: when you added someone to your buddy list, that person didn’t know!!! Unless you IM’d that person, they would never know that you knew them??? So weird, is there any social network like that anymore?

@bryanjedi82 I don't think FB & Twitter are going to crash and burn, but I do think there's going to be a slow gradual shift. Eventually FB will be viewed like AOL is now viewed. It's still around, but it'll be lost in it's old ways and trying to be relevant. Walled gardens never last.
