AOL Issues Reports Near Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Wheat Ridge and nearby locations:

  • iansltx Ian Littman (@iansltx) reported from Denver, Colorado

Verizon should have never bought Yahoo and AOL, but it's good to see them shed those and refocus. AT&T should have never bought Tim Warner, but it's good to see them soon both that and DTV off. T-Mobilr should have never bought Layer3 TV. Etc.

  • kittehv1876 Kat V (@kittehv1876) reported from Denver, Colorado

@ChrisJFuselier Never trust a Hotmail address, they are the new AOL. 🤣

  • GatorNationCO Josh WFI in Denver (@GatorNationCO) reported from Denver, Colorado

@why_a_guy @cristela9 The land line bit had me cracking up. I remember the **** show that was AOL and land lines.

  • tuba_man Chris 🌈🌟 (@tuba_man) reported from Wheat Ridge, Colorado

@AmyDentata It's the same reason why gaudy desktop PC lights are a mess of vendor lock-in, And why we've reinvented the bad old days of infinite cable bundles and of AOL channels (which is about the nicest way I can think to describe the deliberate interop friction between social media apps)

  • gingertasticCO Danny Sacks (@gingertasticCO) reported from Westminster, Colorado

    My AOL-IM is down, wtf??

@MaxKennerly I put that more as a counter to my own thinking and biases. As I explained in the thread, there are many signs of bad times ahead for them. Tend to think it's like AOL/Yahoo. It's a big big ship. So it can burn on the sea for a very long time before it goes down.

  • rkwright Ron Wright (@rkwright) reported

@semrush First Search Engine: Does AOL count? If not, then Alta Vista Last Search Engine: Google Best Search Engine: Google Worst Search Engine: Google

  • SpaceBard ジェフSpaceBard (@SpaceBard) reported

@WaddleandSilvy @ESPN1000 @TWaddle87 I still have an AOL email but I haven't paid for the service since like 2003.

  • ancestry_emma Murphy (@ancestry_emma) reported

@pepperrabitt That tweet gives me bad flashbacks of AOL dial up.

  • jrconlin jrconlin (@jrconlin) reported

Just got spam called by SiriusXM. I still have no idea why they exist for anyone outside of a few long haul truckers. They are the AOL dial up service for fiber optics and 4G phones. They're the cassette tape slot for your Tesla. I'm boggled by them.

  • DaMo938 DaMoYoNo (@DaMo938) reported

@CMcGeeIII @AOL ****, my mom still has an AOL email. I should ask.

  • JeebusFriedRice Ain’t you tired Miss Hilly (@JeebusFriedRice) reported

There’s something energizing and restorative about having the freedom to shout the truth from the mountaintops, even if nobody’s listening. I took so long to get my own social media because of how bad it was back in the AOL days. Nowadays there’s a “block” button. Right on!

  • crywank420 @VOCALIND 📌³² (@crywank420) reported

What's your AOL? Do you wanna hang out after school?

  • ControlCentral1 Filbèrt (@ControlCentral1) reported

@GregCfollows @joshtpm @MaxKennerly IMO, just on the er, face of it, Facebook is AOL. I've never been on it partly for that reason-- I had been an original AOL user, no need to duplicate that experience.

  • SadBillAckman SBA (@SadBillAckman) reported

@HedgeDirty My considered opinion is that anyone who was around to report on AOL is not a serious voice in the conversation around modern tech issues.
