@ashinprogress @Artists_Ali I can both attest to this having been a BBS'er, gone through the AOL & similair service days, and then IRC through to social media today It's not *just* the dads, as many single-mom raised boys end up with the same misogynistic behaviors, not bc of their mom's but media & peers

  • JamesonPegweg Jameson 🇱🇷🐧 (@JamesonPegweg) reported

@frankbumb @cyntiajr Sorry you had a bad time on the AOL message boards

@catovitch am also not disagreeing that the aol era didn't have it's issues as it definitely did but imho it's also hard to just say nothing happened at all when so many holding out on old 2.x installs (especially with post-aol going for nft's) missing that those were aol provided versions.

@AOLSupportHelp I need an app generated password to use my aol email but the generator keeps giving me a message that the service is unavailable for weeks now. I quick google search shows this has been a problem since the spring. Can someone help me? Thanks

  • TripSome22 TripSome22 (@TripSome22) reported

@scubamad @AOLSupportHelp I have the same exact issue!

  • Breve4 Michael Gaylord (@Breve4) reported

@AOLSupportHelp Having trouble logging into my email. Trying to set a new password and I’m stuck in a loop. Either pay for Premium support, or “visit free help site”, which does nothing but return to login page. What is going on? Longtime user planning my exit if this keeps up.

@WhoSkeemz LoL I never been n an AOL chat room ever yo I feel like I missed out smh…

  • scubamad Pauline Harris (@scubamad) reported

@AOLSupportHelp what a joke. AOL have removed support for 3rd party apps so I’m forced to use their own app or website or abandon my 20 year old email address that everything revolves around. Great customer support. Smacks of ad revenue generation.

  • LeifRevere Leif Revere (@LeifRevere) reported

@AOLSupportHelp it has been 5+ days now and no update on the Generate Password feature working. No one is responding to DMs. Is this how you treat your 28+ years customers?!?!?! @ConsumerAffairs

  • mofuble juniper (@mofuble) reported

@zastbat i never used AOL chatrooms actually, i dunno if i missed out I went straight from just forum stuff to IRC and later AIM
