5. So I thought I was super cool back in the AOL days (friggen aging myself here) and made some weird mash up of my first and middle names. Turns out it is never taken on any social outlets. Kinda handy even tho everyone butchers it.

@romaverda The funny reason is because I never shut up. So I say it's an ironic name, but the real reason was during the AOL days I was a huge Jay and Silent Bob fan so I created the name Silentsoto and it stuck as my gamer tag and username everywhere else.

@GrimBitchPaige ****... I started out on hrt, with dosages I was only guessing at based on posts from regressive transmedicalist Susan's Place, from a Canadian pharmacy I accessed thru AOL over a dialup connection. So. This seems hella legit by comparison. **** the haters, do what you gotta do.

@OliveVtuber We were on aol chatrooms, aim, msn, yim, etc when I was young. Discord is just the current generations version of that. The problem isn't children being on discord. It's parents not supervising them better.

@RetroFox8Bit That said, I did email, IM (AOL), IRC, streaming radio, etc. on Zaurus all pretty well back in early 2000s. Battery life was a big issue, though

@AnarchoCorvidae Sorry to be a downer here, but I've been on social media for 30+ years now, going back to AOL chat and forums, and we have never moved beyond the 101 level "america bad" discourse. It's ever present. We kinda just have to power through it, again and again... and again.
