@ChristophLindi @GeorgeGammon Wrong. Bitcoin is it’s own network. AOL was built on top of tcpip network and eventually competed with other products on the network. The creation of other blockchains with tokens that have issuers lack the decentralization and proof of work that make bitcoin unique.

  • jpmcd4 J.P. McD (@jpmcd4) reported

I did the Home Alone 2 tape slow-down/pause prank to my friend in the 90s, telling him he was in trouble for using fake AOL accounts. I had perfectly anticipated what needed to be said on tape to have a fake conversation, and he was scared.

  • k1weber Karl Weber (@k1weber) reported

@BillSimmons Like trying to cancel AOL in 2000. They would not answer the phone or emails.

  • browngottii brody🇩🇴 (@browngottii) reported

@DailyLoud Damn by 2003 you’d think AOL had it on lock, but because yahoo had the webcam i can see why yahoo took over

  • jugurthahadjar Jugurtha Hadjar (@jugurthahadjar) reported

@PierreDeWulf Acquaintances who run huge organizations and have large networks have Gmail/AOL/Yahoo. When qualification is left to people who are not good at "people stuff", they resort to poor heuristics, like email addresses, green/blue bubble, or "luxury car & fake gold chain" to qualify.

  • Orx_Army Orx (@Orx_Army) reported

@TansuYegen Sucks AOL died.. was a good company. Just didn't expand enough.
