My family's new computer had a 14.4 Kbps modem, so we decided to sign up for an AOL free trial (because the disks were everywhere). The local number for AOL ran at 2400 bps. It was *painfully* slow to load. We switched ISPs very quickly after the trial period ended.

HATE feeling obligated 2 talk 2 people just because they got my phone number & I responded once. I miss the days of busy signals, no texting, pagers, AOL. Exactly why I don't give my number out to people. If I ignore Im an ******* but if respond it continues. Like my privacy
