@BarclaysUK been on hold for over 50 minutes now. Ridiculous. I’m a potential new customer enquiring about a recent application. I’ve waited 3 weeks so far with no comms, and can’t get through to anyone. Called yesterday, waited 35 minutes for someone to answer and cut me off.

I asked my local @BarclaysUK about an account for my 15 yr old. They said I have to open an account too, no problem, but they also wanted me to shift ALL my banking to them. Nope. They refused because "they want to encourage new customers" ?????

@ScornflakeGrrrl @BarclaysUK everyone I know who banks with them says they have awful customer service (and my dad still hates them for not pulling out of SA during apartheid... he holds a grudge). I bank with co-op and have always had 5* customer service with them! my parents use HSBC and like them too
