So to summise. Good interest rate if you can actually get it, whack site, whack app, whack customer services & no knowledge of GDPR. Stick with @BarclaysUK or @VernonStockport it is then. 🤑

Just bought a new phone and sorting various banking apps. All fine until it comes to @BarclaysUK . Apparently if you try to re-register on a different device with the *same* phone number (as for example if you upgraded your phone) the system can't handle it and throws an error

@belvisoltd @Barclays @BarclaysUK Bel, sorry to hear of your issues with Barclays! The same happened to me today & I found out by chance that my overdraft has been removed & my personal accounts will be closed after 35 years of banking! What was the outcome or reasons given?

@BarclaysUK …..been on the phone for over an hour. Absolutely appreciating the rule which is new customers attend the nearest branch (by appointment) to open a fixed rate ISA…but it would be great if Barclays picked up the phone to help make arrangements? Dreadful #Barclays

@BarclaysUK over 3 hours on phone and now been put back to music on hold. YOUR SYSTEMS ARE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. I’ve asked for the problem to escalated and been told someone will get back to me within 8 (YES EIGHT) weeks!

@BarclaysUK What a joke! As not currently a customer, & wanting to open a 1yr Cash Isa, we had to call to make a branch apmt. Of the 11 “LOCAL” branches, only Rhyl (50 miles - 1hr 5 mins away) was the only branch with any appointment space in the next 4 weeks. “Computer says no”🤬

@PhilBillingham @thatlaurawrites @BarclaysUK Service here in SA is also appalling far too often. Takes far too long to get certificates of balance in the event of the 'real' death of a customer. Verifying Letters of Executorship/Probate is probably a challenge for banks.

And they will need to be crypto friendly. @BarclaysUK @Barclays you should pay attention to this, if you block any of my crypto transactions (in or out), I'll be closing my accounts down

@Ditch_83 @BarclaysUK Many issues with Barclays in the past few years along similar lines to you. Always made to feel like they don’t really want my business, and it’s all a hassle for them. Ready to change but are others any less useful?
